MEMBER FOR DUNKLEY
FUNDING FOR THE MOUNT ELIZA MENS SHED
It’s not only the men at the Mount Eliza Men’s Shed who’ll benefit from the $5,000 they received from the Dunkley Volunteers Grants Program.
As well as purchasing some much-needed new tools and equipment, the money will be used to support their Women in the Shed program and a new electronics workshop.
Federal Member for Dunkley, Peta Murphy MP recently visited the group to see firsthand how the new equipment is supporting their work.
“Men’s Sheds play an important role in our community bringing people together – to build, to repair and to enjoy each other’s company,” Ms Murphy said.
“And other community groups benefit too. In Mount Eliza, they have completed works for the local schools, the Mount Eliza Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Eliza Neighbourhood House, to name just a few.”
The Dunkley Volunteers Grants Program delivers funding to assist community groups with small capital works projects.
