NEW ENCLOSED DOG PARK FOR LANGWARRIN

Langwarrin will soon have a secure, fenced dog park thanks to $16,755 in funding from the Dunkley Stronger Communities Programme.

Federal Member for Dunkley, Peta Murphy MP recently met with Sam Neeman from Langwarrin Community Centre, who has coordinated the project, to tour the site at 95 Southgateway, Langwarrin.

The ‘Lions Club of Langwarrin Park’ will get a secure off leash park, fully enclosed by fencing.

“We really love our dogs. And at a time when getting out to exercise with our pets has never been so important, a secure off leash dog park is the perfect location,” Ms Murphy said.

“This is great news for our local community and our four-legged friends. Congratulations to the Langwarrin Community Centre and the local community on this terrific result”.

“For sometime, Langwarrin locals have been asking for a dedicated, secure off leash dog park, I’m very proud to be supporting them - and their good doggies - with this funding”.

The Dunkley Stronger Communities Programme delivers funding to local groups for small-scale capital works that improve community participation and contribute to vibrant and viable communities.
