UPGRADING LANGWARRIN SKATE PARK

An Albanese Labor Government will deliver a long-awaited upgrade to Langwarrin Skate Park.

Labor’s investment of $170,000 will provide new skate elements and improve amenities, making it a more inclusive space for the community.

This follows an initial contribution of $20,000 from Peta Murphy through the 2021 Dunkley Stronger Communities Program, later matched by Frankston City Council, to provide interim upgrades.

Local 13-year-old skater Caiden first brought the need for an upgrade to the public’s attention by starting an online petition in 2021 advocating for improvements. Caiden wanted to see a skate park which catered for all ages and abilities.

Today’s announcement is a commitment to partner with Frankston City Council to deliver the upgrade.

An Albanese Labor Government will deliver a better future for Langwarrin.
